Santa Maria is a place of clear contrasts. Should you arrive on a quiet day, you would consider him a dreamy, authentic Majorcan village - with picturesque stone houses and leisurely indigenous pensioners. But far from it. Santa Maria is home to one of the island's most impressive markets and, moreover, it serves as a linchpin for local artisans and winemakers.
